I have been the target of online attacks, altered images, doxxing, followers at public meetings, and intimidation aimed at the people who host and support my events. I document all of it. I have filed police reports, sent cease-and-desist letters, and sent my documentation to the District Attorney’s office.
What changed
I changed how I live. I vary my routines and routes, I skipped the neighborhood meet-and-greets that used to be my favorite part of campaigning, and I rarely announce where I will be.
The attacks also reached the people around me, and that is the cost I think about most.
Why I am telling this under my own name
I think the story carries more weight when people can look me up and see what I said.
This site describes conduct, not individuals. I share names and files with the District Attorney, police and my attorney, and I leave the question of who is responsible to them.
