Privacy policy

Short and plain: what this site collects, why, and what it never does.

1 minute read

This is a personal website. It is built to share one public official’s experience and to let people sign up for updates. It collects as little as possible.

The sign-up form

When you sign up, I receive your name, email address, the role you choose and the updates you ask for. I use these details only to send what you choose. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to me.

Mailing-list emails are sent through Mailchimp, which stores your name, email address and choices on my behalf. Mailchimp asks you to confirm your address before you are added (double opt-in).

If you tick “To share my story”, that request goes only to my private email so I can follow up with you directly. It is never published, never added to the mailing list and never shared.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If visitor statistics are used, they come from a cookie-free, privacy-friendly service that does not identify you.

Videos

Videos are shown using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. After that, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.

Security and records

The website host keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser types, to keep the site running and secure. Sign-up records are kept only as long as they are needed and are deleted on request.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the details I hold about you at any time. Use the contact details in any email you receive from me.
